Milan, Italy
Ah, the fashion capital of the world. However, there is more to Milan than all those designer threads and supermodels. That’s right; the historical buildings dotted amongst the staggering skyscrapers can make it feel as though you’re in an entirely new world. As if that wasn’t enough, some of the buildings have even been designed as vertical forests to add some green to the city.
Amsterdam, The Netherlands
Amsterdam is a city unlike no other in the world. The plethora of canals give any tourist a brand new view of the city, while the flat landscape makes the city the perfect place to bike through the streets. There are also a number of things to keep many entertained, including market stalls, Anne Frank’s House, the zoo, and several art galleries just for good measure.

Reykjavik, Iceland
This is a brilliant option for anyone looking to combine exploration with relaxation on their weekend break. The capital of Iceland is known for many things, including the volcanic thermal pools and spas. Ahh, we can feel the relaxing already. The glaciers offer up some of the most breathtaking walks, and if you’re lucky enough, then you might even get a glimpse at the Northern Lights.
Paris, France
Although it’s known as the City of Love, there is also plenty to do for the singleton in Paris. The many art galleries add the touch of culture many of us crave while monuments such as the Arc de Triomphe and Eiffel Tower are some of the most famous in the world. If all else fails, there’s always Disneyland, right?
