Prince Charles inherited Birkhall from the Queen Mother when she passed away in 2002. Located on the Balmoral Estate, Birkhall was built in 1715.

It became the private property of the Royal Family in 1849 when they purchased Balmoral Estate and has been a vacation home for many members of the family since then. Prince Charles and Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall, honeymooned at Birkhall after they got married in 2005, and the couple stays there whenever they visit Balmoral.
